Dear Friends,

Warm greetings from Indonesia.

Deep in the jungle here is the Hospital on the island of Borneo in a small village called Serukam.

On the picture above you can see the beautiful view over the terrain and rooftops of the hospital from the mountain. And if you look close enough you can see the small aircraft on the airstrip.

On the picture you can see a sick little girl of 15 years old with her sad parents standing by her side. At her age she would be in the blossom of her life. She became sick 2 years ago, but her parents did not have much means to take her to the hospital because they lived so deep in the jungle, they have waited much too long to take her to the hospital. They first took her to the traditional witch doctors. So now she has many complications which are now difficult to solve. We prayed for her that God will do a miracle in her life and that this disease will not be unto death, but for the glory of God, that Jesus might be glorified thereby. Pray for her and for the hospital so that this girl and others can be helped for free. This hospital has received a big blow by the Tsunami, not by the water, but by the regular supporters whom started sending their support elsewhere and in the meanwhile we have understood that not all of it has reached its intended destination.

We like to help people, but with it we should bring the message of God. The Dutch are infamous here because of our colonial past, and with this, as a Dutchman I want to ask for forgiveness from all Indonesians for any bad feelings they might have from the colonial past. I want to be a blessing in this country, and this I do by helping in this hospital which does a great work and gives hope to the people. Do you want to participate? According to the Indonesians the invaders have benefited wrongly from this land, and it is time we give some back, this is a good cause.  

In the picture the little aircraft is ready to take off with doctors and nurses to go even deeper into the inlands where there are no roads. The doctors here work a lot of overtime. They are workers for God in their own country whom have no salary like a regular doctor has. Do you want to give them a little gift for this Christmas for their personal needs?

In the hospital there are a total of 3 washing machines, but 2 we can’t get to function anymore. Clean laundry is very important in this hospital. Somebody said; let’s pray and believe for a new one. Do you want to pray along?

One doctor told the other; we have patients of flesh and blood, but Daniel has mechanical and electric patients which he needs to care for so that they can stay healthy and alive. Because without those patients we cant help the other patients very well. On the picture I am fixing the ultrasound machine which needs a little spare part again. The hospital urgently needs more workers whom want to serve God long term. For more info see;
