Dear Friends,

Greetings from Indonesia.

Good News:
We have gotten further in the adoption process of Sara.

We are now in a big city called Yogyakarta on the island of Java in Indonesia and we have gotten our year visa. Praise The Lord.

This was the first requirement needed to be able to adopt Sara. Now we can go to the next step in the process to adopt Sara. We don’t know how long this process will take but we take one step at the time. The next step is to pick up some papers from the Embassy of Holland in the capital Jakarta.

People whom we meet tell us that we should feel Lucky with Sara because she is so cute and attentive.

And yes, we are very happy with her presence in our lives and we want to put all our effort to finish the adoption process as soon as possible.

Even though some of the requirements are the following;

5 Years being married and not older than 55 years. Living 3 years in Indonesia.

But it is being said that maybe one item of the rules could be ignored if humanly necessary. So we want to keep going on and put all our effort into it.

Now I have some more time to work on the computer and maintain websites and making newsletters for other missionaries. See e.a.
In France
there will be no big conference this year in the big tent but there is a smaller conference from 7-10 of August. See  So we don’t have to be there really, so we can continue our effort for the adoption of Sara here. Sara loves having us as her parents and she is more and more affectionate now and she misses us if we are not around. So we want to be as little as possible separated from her.

The story of Sara in short:

Sara was abandoned more that 2 years ago in the hospital Bethesda where we work as volunteers. She was left behind because her parents were not married each only 17 years old and they had a very short relationship and they separated afterwards.

The Grandparents (Who take over in such a case) of Sara did not have any money nor energy to bring up yet another child in their already large family. Above that came that the child was born with a huge abscess (Non malignant).

She had to be operated on urgently with all the costs pending. It was a very difficult surgery where her tailbone was removed.

For that she was operated on from the back but also from her belly. So she had huge wounds which right after that got infected. With a lot of antibiotics she survived and we decided to adopt her.

We are very happy that you are able to support Sara in her adoption process because we can’t do it by ourselves as volunteers.

Sara is a little miracle; she is completely healthy with a special diet.
She is a happy, intelligent and playful child.
She loves flowers and loves to play with other children and run around.
We see the big change in her recently going from baby to becoming a little person who can do a lot and who thinks she can do all by herself.
Also encouraging is that when we meet other Indonesians they encourage us to continue with the adoption, they know that this is a great opportunity for one of their own to get a good future.

In the whole World the cost for the adoption of a foreign child are high and here also. But we believe that we should continue in this. We pray for God His guidance in this and that He will provide for all that we need so we can continue with the adoption. We continue step by step.
For coming time we need 1000 Euro to cover the costs.

If you can help in this it will be a great blessing for Sara and us. Please send you gift marked “Sara”

We as missionaries live for 100% out of faith.
We pray that God provides all we need so we can continue to work fulltime in the Christian Mission work as volunteers.

We thank you for your support and prayers.
greetings from us

God bless you
