Greetings from Indonesia.

Until the 7^th of June I will be in Indonesia, then I will go to France again for the summer where I will be helping with maintenance and video editing.

On the picture I am working in the “ICU” to help renovate it. All electrical outlets cables and pipes for all appliances will be renewed and will be put in conduits on the walls in the whole room. In the next newsletter I will put a picture of the renewed “ICU”

On the picture I am with all the doctors of the hospital Bethesda in the village Serukam on the island of Borneo. On my right is Dr. Paul, he is the mission coordinator and the son of the missionaries who have built the hospital here, they are from the USA. To his right is the director: Dr. Herman.

Sometimes some of the many internal telephone line connections need repair too.

On the picture we are working with the woodwork to be able to provide better water supply to the washing machines.

Last year I made plans to improve the hot water supply to be able to get the laundry cleaner. We have now really started. At the same time we are changing old rusty and leaking pipes as well. Also in the sterilization department we will change the pipes. The hospital receives a lot of people, so it is important to make sure that everything is working well. Not to always having to buy new spare parts I have fixed a broken washing machine this time by making it work fully manually. So the filling of the washing machine is done by opening a valve, and washing by switching on a switch, and afterwards opening up the drain valve, and then switch on the spin switch. It requires more physical labor, but that is always cheaper here than having to buy new spare parts all the time.  The monthly salary is not much here. What a westerner can earn in an hour some earn per month here. For that reason people are amazed that I spend my time here voluntarily. That is then again a testimony of the love of God for all the people in the world. God loves each one. And we can carry this out into the whole world.

With the hospital there is also a big church, which goes well and already runs independently for a long time.
