Greetings from Indonesia.

The 17^th of February I arrived in Indonesia. I am working here in the mission hospital on the island of Borneo for 4 months. www.BorneoHospital.com

When I arrived at the hospital grounds of the Bethesda hospital in the village Serukam, it was such a nice scene to see a children meeting being held here. One of the most important aspects of mission is to reach the children. It does not matter what kind of work the mission post does, as long as there is a children ministry as well, the children are the future. And it has shown here over the years, many children of veteran workers are now adults and are working in the hospital.

On the picture we are working to renovate the “ICU” Intensive Care Unit. The Hospital is now 34 years old and there is a lot to do on renovation and repair. In this warm and humid tropical rain forest climate things don’t last as long. There are important pipes and cables that have to be put alongside the walls in the ICU. Fixing all the receptacles along side the walls in a conduit where all the lifesaving appliances can be plugged in besides the beds of the patients.

I am known here as the handyman who can fix it all. Some people had things waiting for me. “When Daniel comes he will fix it”. On the picture I am fixing the sound system of the Chapel and changing the seals of a washing machine door.

At least 2 times a week there is a meeting in the Chapel for all the workers. On the picture is a patient who just shared his testimony with us in a meeting. He used to be a witch with super natural powers, and he was so exceptional at it, that the government hired him. But his own body he did not seem to be able to heal, and so he came already 3 times to the hospital. Here he heard of Jesus Christ, and he accepted Jesus Christ, who has all the power. Now he is happy to testify how God has changed his life.

Every week there are hundreds of sick people coming from far to be helped. Besides the medical team there is also a spiritual team which shares with the people about Jesus Christ. Through this ministry there are always people coming to faith.
