Greetings from Indonesia.

Deep in the humid jungle is the Hospital on the island of Borneo in a small village called Serukam.

It rains a lot this time of year, and amazingly enough it gets as low as 23°C 74°F at night here, which is nice and cool for the tropics.

In February the hospital celebrated its 33^rd anniversary. On the picture above you can see the celebrations, and to the right are the Americans Dr. Geary and Mrs. Geary the previous directors of the hospital who led the construction. Before that the hospital was at a different site, and the ministry can be dated back to the 40’s when a Dutchman started the ministry.

On the picture I am fixing the computers for the doctors, trying to get rid of viruses while the doctors themselves try to get rid of viruses in human patients at the same time.   

The big machine is a Mammogram machine, it has been standing here for many years broken, and I was able to fix it.

The people here are grateful with my presence here, so I already promised to come back again the beginning of next year. On the picture to the right you can see a typical family at their typical home which is slightly elevated from the ground.

There is still a lot of work to do before I go back to Holland on the 10^th of April. There is a great financial need in the hospital, and a lot of maintenance work waiting to be done, your gifts, small or large are a great help to this ministry. www.BorneoHospital.com
